Bill O'Reilly was Right About One Thing.

In the same Talking Points section of the same The O'Reilly Factor I criticized in my last blog Bill did make a good point.

He was talking how the Western liberal democracies (WLDs) are demanding a cease-fire and an international force to enforce the 2000 agreement between Israel and Lebanon. However, Mr. O'Reilly went on to note none of those WLDs are offering to contribute to that force.

There it is!

O'Reilly's Latest Contradiction.

Mr. Bill O'Reilly last night was whining about how those in the liberal democracies are not sacrificing. His most notable whine was about how we are going to drive even more than last summer despite higher prices.

Well, Mr. O'Reilly what does that tell you? It tells me that gas prices are not as bad as what people, yourself included, think they are. If there were, would they drive more or less? Less.

In fact, it is Mr. O'Reilly who often whines about "gouging" at the pump. Now he whines about how we drive too much in too big of vehicles. Mr. O'Reilly wins the Energy Squirrel Award for his mental gasoline gymnastics.

If Mr. O'Reilly really wants us to use less gas than the price should go higher! However, if Mr. O'Reilly believes gas is too expensive now then it seems he wants us to drive even more? Which is it Mr. O'Reilly? Cheaper gas or less driving, choose you can not have both.

FYI Energy Squirrel was a character from a stupid ad campaign that encouraged conservation. Now, I think conservation is a good thing but only high prices spur true conservation not hokey radio advertisement characters. Mr. O'Reilly's contradictory positions will do no more than Energy Squirrel.

Kiss the Frog with Fire.

There is an interesting analogy from nature that can be applied to Hezzbollah in Lebanon.

There is a parasite out there that has multiple hosts. A heron, a snail, and a frog. The parasite starts its cycle in the heron and works it way to snails. From the snails it finds tadpoles and does an interesting thing. It causes the infected tadpole to develop malformed legs as it transforms from tadpole into a frog. Hence you get frogs with multiple legs, short useless legs, missing legs, and other variations on the messed up leg theme.

Why? Because the parasite needs to work its way back into the gut of a heron so it engineers crippled frogs that are easy prey for herons.

Same goes for the current situation with Lebanon. Lebanon is infected with the parasite of radical Islamism and it is mutating Lebanon to cause Israel to attack it thereby making Lebanon more prone to takeover by Hezzbollah and radical Islamists.

Ironically what is the cure? Hezzbollah admits is underestimated the Israeli response, half-... responses the kind Israel usually engaged in were what they were hoping for. Another bombing of a Hezzbollah safehouse, another film crew filming healthy children being rushed to the hospital and the world once again lambastes Israel.

In order for Lebanon to excise the parasite it must be cooked clean. That is the once the frog of Lebanon is kissed by the fire it will turn into the prince it once was.

Cartoon Controversy Again!

Hehehe,

Yes and it once again is centered in the Norse region of Europe. However, this time it is a cartoon that strikes at Israel and the Jews. The Jerusalem Post has the cartoon and the story.

This cartoon makes what is a fairly typical slur and likens Israel to one Nazi or another. This one has PM Olmert re-enacting a scene from Schindler's List where the concentration camp commandant plinking Jewish prisoners. Get it?

The cartoon smacks of moral blindness. I wonder what Norway do if their neighbor was sending in homicide bombers and kidnapping border guards?

I see no signs of riots or people ordering the cartoonist murdered. I see complaints and letter writing campaigns being started. Big difference.

So Sue Me!

The Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee blans to sue Donald Rumsfeld and Condeleeza Rice. The grounds? They failed to brotect US citizens in Lebanon and want to force the USA governemnt to ask for a cease-fire in the Israeli Hezbollah conflict.

Wow, I did not know it was bermissable for a court to order foreign bolicy. I do not think this suit will get at all far. I hobe (for their sake) they are filing it in the Ninth Circus, but I would guess it would be a court from around the area and it will get dismissed quickly.

Aquino Pleads Guilty: Obliging My Readers.

I just took a look at visitor stats and noticed a number of Googlers landing here looking for information on Michael Ray Aquino's guilty plea.

Well, I do a little googling and this is what turns up:
Former police senior superintendent Michael Ray Aquino on Monday (Tuesday in Manila) entered a guilty plea to the charge of unauthorized possession of classified US government documents, ABS-CBN North America News Bureau reported.

Aquino entered the plea during the hearing before US District Court Judge William Walls.
Aquino, 40, said he received classified US government documents from Filipino American Leandro Aragoncillo from January to September 2005. At that time, Aragoncillo, a former US marine, was working at an Army base in New Jersey as intelligence analyst for the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

"Aquino is now an admitted spy, who cultivated and used Aragoncillo, a willing accomplice, to transfer US intelligence secrets abroad," said US Attorney Christopher J. Christie.

"He (Aquino) did this at the behest of a high-level government official in the Philippine legislature. [emphasis added] We view that as a grave intrusion on the integrity of our national security, and we will seek the longest prison sentence possible for Aquino," he added.
Source: ABS-CBN Interactive - Michael Ray Aquino pleads guilty in US spy case

Hmmm. It is well documented (and admitted to by) Erap (aka former & deposed President Joseph Estrada) that he received the information obtained by Aragoncillo & Aquino. According to this report another Filipino official has admitted to receiving the intelligence:
The recipients included former President Joseph Estrada, who was ousted five years ago; Sen. Panfilo Lacson, the leader of the Arroyo opposition party; and former House Speaker Arnulfo Fuentebella. [emphasis added]

Estrada and Lacson have acknowledged receiving information from Aquino or Aragoncillo, but deny any wrongdoing.

Berman said all Aquino was asked to do was introduce Aragoncillo to Lacson, which he did via e-mail. Afterward, Aragoncillo started sending him documents he had pilfered from government files, the attorney said.

Aquino was once a senior officer under Lacson in the Philippines National Police.

Senator Lacson is frequently mentioned as being a possible replacement for President Arroyo.

Okay, now what? Will our government (i.e. the USA government) press charges against these leaders who were the recipients of the material? This could mean an extradition request and possible extradition. It would certainly free PGMA of some pesky people, but does she have the political support to allow it? I think not, it has been a number of years that she managed to oust Erap and it appears there is no real serious effort to try him for the plunder charges that were the pre-text for ousting him. Why would anyone think PGMA could muster the support to allow (or to see it through) the extradition of these leaders. We shall see.

Peace on the Enemy's Terms

Another example of how many in the so-called "peace movement" are not at all for peace but for victory by the Islamic radicals.
NOBEL peace laureate Betty Williams displayed a flash of her feisty Irish spirit yesterday, lashing out at US President George W.Bush during a speech to hundreds of schoolchildren.

Campaigning on the rights of young people at the Earth Dialogues forum, being held in Brisbane, Ms Williams spoke passionately about the deaths of innocent children during wartime, particularly in the Middle East, and lambasted Mr Bush.

"I have a very hard time with this word 'non-violence', because I don't believe that I am non-violent," said Ms Williams, 64.

"Right now, I would love to kill George Bush." Her young audience at the Brisbane City Hall clapped and cheered.
Source: The Australian - Peace prize winner 'could kill' Bush (by Annabelle McDonald)
Yet another example of how many on the left are actively working against Western Civilization. Dare we use the "T" word?

Bad & Worse.

For every one of these photos:

there are probably thousands of photos like this:

The first photo is bad because it shows children being too flippant about the tools of war, also those are live rounds and things do happen, children shouldn't be around them.

I am sure in the second photo the baby is rigged with a faked up suicide bomber belt but of course that may be the childs fate much more soon than one thinks.

BTW, the first photo comes from the Jerusalem Post and the second photo is easy to find in the Google image search archives.

John Kerry Adds to HowDea's Innanity.

The president has been so absent on diplomacy when it comes to issues affecting the Middle East," Kerry said. "We're going to have a lot of ground to make up (in 2008) because of it.
Source: The Detroit News - Kerry knocks Bush on handling of Mideast conflict (by Valerie Olander)

Of course John Kerry can say he was for diplomacy before he was against it:
This is about American security and Bush has failed. He has made it so much worse because of his lack of reality in going into Iraq.…We have to destroy Hezbollah
Source: The Detroit News - Kerry knocks Bush on handling of Mideast conflict (by Valerie Olander)

Of course, I don't believe John Kerry believes any of what he says in the later quote. After all, John Kerry and many of the modern Democrats believe they can clink champagne glasses and make the problem go away (ala waving a magic wand). Again obsequious diplomacy is no substitute for real diplomacy and unfortunately John Kerry, HowDea et al are crazy if they think obsequious diplomacy will work any better with Hezbollah, Syria, Iran et al than it did with Hiter's Germany.

Ahhh Welcome Spam!

Hehehehe,

One of the efforts I am a part of is covered in gooey brown spray at the moment.

I just looked at the e-mail folder dedicated to that effort and there was a message awaiting myself there. I cringed as I went to the folder and it was a spam message. Ahhhh, what a relief.

sophoMORONISM

Robert Fisk (yes the same guy whose name has come to mean to rebut stupid writing) can not see the difference between a nation and a group of brigands.

He says, Hezbollah is no different from Israel. You see, Hezzbollah's missiles may come from Tehran or Damascus but Israel's come from the US. So you see Hezzbollah == Israel, qed.

Actually, all it shows is how morally blind Mr. Fisk is.

If for example the KKK obtained missiles (or a guy like Timothy McVeigh obtained a huge truckful of explosives) then does the KKK become a nation? Does the KKK (or Timothy McVeigh) then have license to wreak havoc on agencies trying to reign them in? Quite simply put having weapons may give one the ability to defend oneself from attack (and no matter what one thinks of Hamas and Hezbollah they are not going to roll over and let Israel wreak havoc on their ability to wage war on Israel) but it does not give a nation the moral authority to use them.

As Wretchard notes: Hating one's enemies is sometimes a sign of character. Betraying one's friends is always a sign of its lack.

Taxes and Spending.

I have sympathy for those in the legislature. It is much easier to spend money than to save.

A group I am part of was recently debating the purchase of a covered trailer. The guy who wanted it had good reasons made a good case and argued persuasively for it. He had initial approval for the purchase and we secured a 2 month interest free loan to buy it.

However, one volunteer who wasn't at the meeting pointed out it would be nice to build up some cash reserves. This doused the purchase. It is still a good idea but our group does need the cash reserves more than the trailer. Next year we will definitely revisit the trailer idea.

Similarly, I see many who approach the government for more spending have good ideas and it is harder to say no than yes.

Head Slappingly Stupid.

Is Richard Cohen's latest column.

What does he say? He tells Israel to bare its neck to Hezbollah and Hamas.

I defended Richard Cohen here recently, but now I pile on him. Before the Krazy Kos Kiddies attacked him because he thought a half-rate comedian's insults were boorish now he joins the Krazy Kos Kiddies.

HowDea's Latest Inanity.

HowDea is speaking out in a way that seems like he believes President Bush can wave a magic wand and fix the problems with respect to Israel and Iran (Hezbollah is nothing but an Iranian instrument).

HowDea you need to look at some recent history. Israel has been bending over backwards to accommodate the Palestinian, Hamas, and Hezbollah types. Recall they withdrew from Lebanon years ago and the partners in that agreement did not follow through on their commitments (or as I believe were not able to follow through but one should not enter into agreements they can not deliver on) and Israel just withdrew from the Gaza strip. What did it earn them? Worse than nothing.

Furthermore, the Oslo accords lead to nothing as well. The Oslo accords were nothing more than an excuse to sign cheap pieces of paper, clink champagne glasses, and administer own-back pats.

You see Mr. HowDea, the likes of Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, and Syria are not honest negotiators and are very clear on their intentions. It is the likes of you who force muck and shades of gray on the situation and not the main players in this fight.

Ahmednuttyjihad is quite clear that his intentions are to destroy the nation of Israel. Was Hitler being allegorical in Mein Kumpf?

Serious Stuff.

The war between Israel and the conglomeration of Hamas and Hezbollah is very serious. Anyone who thinks Lebanon is in any position to offer a cease fire is silly. If Lebanon can enforce a cease fire now why didn't it deliver on its treaty obligations back in 2000?

However, I believe Lebanon (itself, not Lebanon in the grip of Syria) is willing to stop the fighting from its land, but unable to. It is Hezbollah acting on its own or more accurately the behest of Iran and Syria with Iran being the main instigator.

Iran's language has been very bellicose of the last couple of years and all the pointy head leftoids have been telling us all along President Ahmednuttyjihad never meant what he is saying. Hah. Hitler gave us plenty of notice what he was about and what his intentions were, still we did not listen.

Many say Israel's response is disproportionate. However, recall the old saying "the straw that broke the camel's back" yes the kidnapping of the soldiers are two straws but enough straws were piled on the camels back. Recall Israel in good faith withdrew from Lebanon and Gaza and those on the other side of the border never had any intentions of following through on their promises.

This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

Israel vs. Iran

The escalation of the fighting in and around Israel is getting serious.

There is talk now that the captured Israeli soldiers are going to be sent to Iran. So, the mask comes off or as is it is popularly being described as the snake coming from under the rock.

In spite of the reports of centrifuge spoilage in Iran I (and others) suspect Iran may be much closer (like in actual possession) of a nuclear weapon (no reports of any tests detected, I am sure quite a few radiological sensors are trained on Iran right now) and trying to provoke Israel into providing an excuse to "field test" it.

A Fox News crew was shot at earlier today in Gaza City. David Miller and his crew were reporting on things in Gaza City when they mentioned and filmed an Israeli position and then shots were directed in their general direction.

I would guess this was a message to tell them to buzz off and stop gathering tactical intelligence of Hamas and Hezbollah. One lefty blog I visited that gave a straight reporting of the story had quite a few moonbatty comments. Their was plenty of wishing the soldiers would have shot straight (they did) and of course plenty of conspiracy offerings about how the Neocons are behind it all.

Hehehe, some white supremacist group came on and parroted what they were saying and they all took offense.

With Trepidation.

My blog this morning regarding Kevin's stream of blogs on Terri McCormick was written with trepidation. I see a comment awaiting my viewing and I hope I didn't jump on Kevin's toes too hard (I have yet to see it).

Simply put I value his friendship, but feel I had to get my irritation out there.

All the criticism's of Terri McCormick are well taken and lord knows there have been things to criticize regarding her campaign. However I see little point in a daily blog-shot at her campaign.

What is a Rainbow?

The symbol used by the skin-deep diversity mongerers is the rainbow. What is a rainbow?

A rainbow is sunlight separated into its constituent colors. What good is sunlight? As we all should know sunlight aids in the production of vitamin D in our bodies and is essential to plant-life and their photosynthesis processes. This photosynthesis thingy is critical to life on earth.

Now, if we took that rainbow the skin-deep diversity mongerers used and applied it to plants we find that not all wavelengths of light spur photosynthesis equally.

Sunlight in order to do its work must work as a united harmony rather than be split into its constituent components. Same too for people, in order to work together we must unite around common goals rather than split on skin-deep characteristics.

Enough Already!

Lakeshore Laments run by Kevin Binversie with contributions from his brother and another fellow known as Beefy is one of the go to blogs in Wisconsin. I know Kevin personally from when he lived in Appleton and was attending Outagamie County Republican Party meetings and I have spent a number of afternoons (and a late morning or two) drinking suds with him at various locales throughout Wisconsin.

However, Kevin's fixation on the Terri McCormick's campaign is bordering on ridiculous. Yeah, John Gard is the leviathan and is essentially the party endorsed candidate (I will not go into the silly talk about how the party is supposed to stay out of things until after the primary, surely the party organization has some input on who and who will not run) and any attempt to beat him will look silly especially in the light of the recent presidential endorsement.

Gard has some problems. I have noticed many Republicans up here (in the 8th Cong. district not the 6th) detest Mr. Gard and quite a few are holding their noses in support of him. Mr. Gard is a career politician and AFAIK went from school to politics and has little private enterprise experience. One fellow I know (who is a Republican and was a statewide candidate for one of those minor state offices) says his job takes him in a lot of houses throughout the district and he senses that Gard has less support outside of the party than one would think. He also notes Union guy is not going to vote for Mr. Gard either (despite the fact I believe most Union guys beliefs are conservative just they are rock-n-rollers who don't follow politics themselves and let the union bosses dictate who they will vote for).

In the end I will not support or cast my vote for a Democrat (even Kagen who is someone else I have a real chance of meeting closeup, a friend of mine is close friends with his family) I will vote for either Gard or Terri but as for now I am with Terri.

Funny.

Am watching the Fox News video of the aftermath of the Palestinian Foregin Ministry destruction. Isn't it funny how there seems to be a constant stream of non-injured children being rushed out of ambulances and into the hospital?

When Will The Lawsuits Begin?

There is reports of yet more children being taken sexually advantage of by an adult placed in charge of them. I wonder when the victim lawsuits will begin? The victimizer? A band teacher not a priest. Crisis Magazine recently had an article saying many more children are victimized by teachers than priests.

This is not to excuse those priests who abused children its wondering about the double standard.

Here We Go Again.

Like a bunch of heroin junkies griping and whining about high gas prices.

Conspiracy theories abound aplenty. "Oh, gas was 99 cents when Clinton was in office", the economies of Southeast Asia and East Asia were depressed too at the time did Clinton cause that? Of course it isn't our fault, its the SUV's fault. So, the SUV of its own free will guzzles gas? Right.

Hehehehe. I have this picture in my head of a guy whining about the gas prices while pumping an Excursion full of gas and then filling up a boat and four 4x4s.

We have no right to gasoline. It is something that must be earned.

Here are some more wieners:
*Oh if we drill in ANWAR the oil will not be used in the USA.
>Duh, there is a worldwide market for oil, still it will increase the supply

*We oughta ban futures trading and speculation
>Sure how are we going to do that? Oil trading is an international business. Even if we were in a position to do that as a society that believes in free markets it would be wrong.

*We oughta develop an alternative fuel.
>Such work is being done and is more complicated than waving a magic wand or clicking your heals together and wishing it so.

*Those greedy oil companies are gouging us.
>It is commonly held the profit on gas is like 10% hardly gouging. There is probably much more profit in the cheap sunglasses you wear.

*I now have to make a choice between going somewhere and purchasing items X.
>Sigh, such is life we always make those choices.

Traded his Peavey for an Axe

Looks like Larry Logroller traded in his peavey for an axe. I wonder if anyone saw ole Larry in action or if it happened at sometime during the dark and dead of night?

Saw this in Wabeno Wisconsin on July 5, 2006.

That Awkward Phase.

Hehehehe,

I now have more time for this outlet of writers energy. However, it takes a time to get back into the swing of it. I have all my life tried to avoid the herd after all if you are doing what everyone else is doing then you do not discover. Not that I am dissing the herd or any such thing, but I have always tried to live my life as an outlier.

It took me sometime to figure out this impulse did not have to be applied to every aspect of my life. In fact quite a few people never discover this and it is a pity for them, the rest of the world, and yes, for their causes.

What does this all mean? It means it takes a bit of time for me to find topics I feel are worth writing about. The Avery murder of Hallbach case was in the news today, but what can be said about that more than what Kevin at Lakeshore Laments has said? O'Cindy bin Sheehan is in the news of late but that is like catching pike in the lake up north, a target so easy its just not worth the bother. Kenneth Lay passed away and don't have a whole lot to say about that, however it is tempting to comment on the leftoid conspiratorialists reacting to his death.

I have been thinking of a Badger Blog Alliance posting on the difference between leftism and liberalism. A month or two ago I tried posting a commentary response to one of my blogs there and the combination of my laptop and the hotel wireless network failed to get it done and I didn't have the time or the inclination to repost it. But that's there and not here.

How about here? Well hang out and see!
