Hannity's Hamas Thing.

Hannity today was going on about the ports deal. Some on our side of the aisle are using the race card to support this deal and that is shameful. Lets face it, there are reasonable objections to be had. However, I got the distinct notion that Hannity is flinging doo-doo at his opponents here calling supporters of the deal talking points robots.

Sean's biggest beefs are as follows.

  1. UAE supports Hamas

  2. Yes not exactly surprising. However, Europe is poised to do likewise. Will we stop dealing with Europe? I doubt it. In any event cutting off a business deal on this scale will do nothing to stop their dealings with Hamas only encourage it.
  3. UAE boycotts Israel

  4. Little Green Football passes on a report that Dubai Ports World DOES business with Israel. Its a matter of being discreet about ones indiscretions (I don't consider doing business with Israel an indiscretion but many of the UAE residents would).
  5. The UAE boycotts companies doing business with Israel.

  6. Coca-Cola is a company that does business in Israel. In the early '90s Coca Cola opened up a bottling plant in Al-Ain, UAE. Does this mean we should boycott Arla cheese a Danish cheese?
  7. The UAE recognized the Taliban.

  8. The key word is recognizeed. Notice the past tense of the word. Pakistan not only recognized the Taliban but set 'em up in power. I am quite certain Pakistan is privy to quite a few military secrets of ours.
  9. Men and support for the 9/11-19 flowed through the UAE

  10. Yes, this is true. The UAE especially Dubai has always been known as a smugglers paradise. However, this was done without government complicity and they have cooperated with the US in tightening up procedures to put an end to much of that.
Nuclear material was smuggled through Dubai.
See above about the 9/11-19 and material, and the ringleader was a Pakistani see above about Pakistan.

The 9/11-19 lived and trained in the various states of the USA, do we cut them off? The State Department gave the 9/11-19 visas do we stop dealing with the State Dept? Hehehe, probably more than a few of you are shouting YES!

We need good logistical support in the area and the UAE (and Kuwait, and Qatar, and Bahrain) wants the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman to stay open (SO DO WE). Yes, we have a mighty fleet but it would be nice to have nations in the area willing to allow our Air Force to have bases nearby.

Review this blog and look at the map. Which nation dominates the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman? Is that a friendly to the US nation? And many among us want to spit in the face of a nation that is helping us.
