O'Reilly's Latest Contradiction.
Mr. Bill O'Reilly last night was whining about how those in the liberal democracies are not sacrificing. His most notable whine was about how we are going to drive even more than last summer despite higher prices.
Well, Mr. O'Reilly what does that tell you? It tells me that gas prices are not as bad as what people, yourself included, think they are. If there were, would they drive more or less? Less.
In fact, it is Mr. O'Reilly who often whines about "gouging" at the pump. Now he whines about how we drive too much in too big of vehicles. Mr. O'Reilly wins the Energy Squirrel Award for his mental gasoline gymnastics.
If Mr. O'Reilly really wants us to use less gas than the price should go higher! However, if Mr. O'Reilly believes gas is too expensive now then it seems he wants us to drive even more? Which is it Mr. O'Reilly? Cheaper gas or less driving, choose you can not have both.
FYI Energy Squirrel was a character from a stupid ad campaign that encouraged conservation. Now, I think conservation is a good thing but only high prices spur true conservation not hokey radio advertisement characters. Mr. O'Reilly's contradictory positions will do no more than Energy Squirrel.
