The Innocent vs. The Guilty.

Quite a few leftists do not understand the position many on the right take when it comes to pro-life. Many hold it as a double standard that people on the right lobby against abortion, fight for the basic civil rights of the weak in our society (e.g. Terri Schiavo), but yet want to put capital criminals to death.

The difference is quite simple. The difference is the right wants to protect the innocent and condemns the guilty. The guilty on death row have had plenty of judicial review, they have had lawyers defend them (often times on the taxpayer's tab), then when they are done in the state courts the federal courts then get involved.

Remember those people are murderers, child rapists and killers, contract killers, serial murderers etc. Why do they deserve more consideration than Terri Schiavo?
