Trackback Spam.

If you read Powerline Blog you may have noticed they briefly enabled trackbacks after renovating their site. Sad to say they are now disabled. Why? Trackback-spam has made it nearly impossible for them to manage the trackbacks so they just disabled them.

This is sad since as a smallish blogger I find it a very good way to generate traffic and notice on this blog. Whenever I place a trackback on a given site, this usually generates some visits and a trackback on my blog as well. In fact Michelle Malkin is now considering if she should keep trackbacks on her site enabled.
