The Baghdad Terrorist Cheerleaders.

I can hear some on the left say how Iowahawk's two pieces are equivalent to what Senator Turban Durbin said on the floor of the senate. In like fashion Kos equates the fanaticism of the Right to that of the Taliban. Those on the right believe in religion, the Taliban believe in religion
ergo the right and the Taliban are identical. The Right favors liberal societies for all people, the Taliban favors the world ruled by a Caliphate ergo they are the same. This comes from a little tit-for-tat snark (Kos's little fit sounds more like a MoDo piece) from Kos at the DailyKos in response to Iowahawk's two Abu Musab Al Zarqawi guest pieces.

I draw a major distinction between the Iowahawk on one hand and Durbin and Kos on the other. The distinction is Durbin's and Kos's comments are exaggerations of monumental proportions while Iowahawk's were based on actual statements from the left. In Iowahawk's second piece he explicitly refers to leftist cheering THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED after the incident in Fallujah were those contractors were killed and their bodies desecrated by the terrorists. The worst that can be said of Iowahawk's work is the brush is too broad.

However, many of the voices that are the loudest on the left are of this nature. Yes, as a rule the one outrageous comment earns more attention than 100 reasonable comments (a truism that is inconvenient to my side as well). However, one of the top blogs (I have seen it in the #1 slot but at the moment Instapundit is there) in terms of readership (according
to The TTLB Ecosystem) belongs to someone who is a Baghdad Terrorist Cheerleader.

The comments made by Kos in response to the killing of the contractors in Fallujah sound more like those made by a person, whose football team just scored a go-ahead touchdown. Yes, the contractors were not "Dorothy's in the Land of Oz", they knew where they were, they knew the
risks, yes they were ex-GIs working with a private security firm, and if you want to call them mercenaries, I will not dispute that characterization.

However, those that publicly celebrated their killing were cheering for the enemy and that is not an exaggeration, Kos used language to express his approval when those contractors were killed.

If Kos and his fellow Baghdadi Terrorist Cheerleaders are offended by tracts like Iowahawks, well they had better get used to it because what they encourage and cheer is much worse than even sticks and stones.
