What to Blog About?

There is a fair amount going on but nothing at the moment grabs my blogtention.

*The Mier's nomination.
What more can I say about it other than to tell conservatives to calm down. Why don't we wait until the hearings. It is being said she will not answer the questions conservatives want to hear answers to. Well, I thinx people are trying to have it both ways here, they see it is okay for the nominees to dodge question X when it comes from the left but not okay for them to dodge question X when it comes from them?

Wait until she answers questions like "Will you fight for the little guy?" and then we can talk more about her temperament. I am not cheerleading for President Bush here, but he does have the power of appointment and while there may not be any indicators she is a rock ribbed right-wingers there is certainly no indications she will be a bad nominee. Remember, right-wingers can be activist just as much as leftists.

*NYC Terror Alert.
The leftists are all up in arms about it. They are reading from their scripts. Ohhh, distractions from Karl Rove. Ohhhh, this comes right on the heels of that major speech, hmmmmm. Ohhhhh, they say the information isn't confirmed they are just trying to scare us. So on and so forth. Of course, if an attack actually happened without this going on script B would be along the lines of: Ohhhhh, that dog farted an obvious sign terrorists were going to attack! etc etc etc.

*The Espionage Case.
A closer look at timelines reveals the spy was not in Whitehouse employ at the time of his crimes. True he did work for the VPs office under both Gore & Cheney but I think the characterization being used by the MSM is to further smear President Bush.

This case has nothing to do with Al-Qaida and much to do with internal Filipino politics and if you have been reading this blog regularly you know those politics right now are very much in turmoil right now. Of course, anything that stirs that turmoil soup in the Philippines is something that benefits Abu Sayyf.

If found guilty, I don't think the guy deserves to be shot but he needs to join Aldrich Ames and Jonathan Pollard for a very long time.

*The Oklahoma Bomber II.
From the blogs I am reading (namely The Jawa Report & Michelle Malkin both are blog rolled to the right) are indicating an investigation is going and it is much deeper than one guy trying to off himself and himself alone. There are reports Oklahoma Bomber II (OBII) was recently trying to buy largish quantities of bomb making material and was being fidgety and nervous when he did. There is also an Religion of Peace connection that is coming to light. Another report has OBII trying to get into the stadium with a backpack and fleeing when security wanted to have a peek inside the backpack.

I back off my earlier conclusion of a solo suicide and wait for further information on this case.

*What else?
