Doctor Assisted Suicide.

Is it constitutional? Yes.

Is it something we must then legalize? No.

The Federal Government has no business interfering with Oregon's assisted suicide law. Since assisted suicide is not addressed in the Constitution (indeed regular suicide is not mentioned) then the Federal Government is barred from interfering with state laws on suicide.

Now do not take this as a Marcus Aurelius endorsement of assisted suicide, take it as a Marcus Aurelius endorsement of federalism and a limited federal government.

No, I think assisted suicide is a bad bad thing.
