Playing Politics With X.

One common argument often used in debates that drives me crazy is "Stop playing politics over issue X". Both sides use this argument.

Sean Hannity often bemoans how the Democrats are playing politics over the way in Iraq and on Terror. Well, duh! After all, the Democrats are politicians. This is just a whine that others do not see the debate as you do. Well, yeah I would be very glad if the left would see things the way we do but it isn't going to happen in the near term and this is why politics have evolved.

In fact I would say the comment of "Stop playing politics over issue X" is cheap populism.
