Parsing the Political Money Line Document.

Going over this document in a little more detail is an interesting exercise.

Using the Unix utility known as grep I did some simple searching for the following strings:
madison, milwaukee, appleton, green (which I will simply assume to mean Green Bay), and pere (DePere), and WI.

The Political Money Line document details 263 contributions total.

Of those 263 contributions 240 are from within Wisconsin. This means 23 out of state contributions.

Lets look at the counts for well known 8th District Cities.
Green Bay: 42 contributions
DePere: 32 contributions
Appleton: 13 contributions

Total: 87 contributions

Now let us look at two well known out of 8th District Wisconsin cities.
Madison: 62 contributions
Milwaukee: 34 contributions

Total: 96 contributions

This is 183 out of 240, so about 57 contributions need review and I see some from Door County, Vilas County, but there are other out of district contributions.

Also, never forget those 23 out of state contributions.

I will take these numbers as roughly true, after all if Mr. Alex Green from LaCrosse contributed to Ms. Nussbaum's campaign the search I used for Green Bay would have registered him as from Green Bay.
