9-0 Baby!

The Supreme Court of the United States ruled 9-0 that the Solomon Amendment is constitutional.

What is the Solomon Amendment? Essentially it is power of the purse. Universities that take federal money are not allowed to deny US Armed Forces recruiters access to their campuses for the purpose of recruiting. If a given university does not allow military recruiter access the university can be denied access to those federal funds.

The Solomon Amendment had been challenged on free speech ground and the SCOTUS said it is no such thing.

Duh! You can continue to deny access that is not being prohibited and nothing says a university has rights to the taxpayer's monies.
