Bennish is Right About One Thing.

Bennish, the Colorado HS Georgraphy teacher, who ranted against America is right about one thing in his rants. Though, if he thought it through he would probably be horrified of the implications of what he was saying.

I agree the Pentagon, the Whitehouse, the Capital building, and perhaps even the WTC are targets of military worth. Yes they are. The first three because they are command and control facilities and the later is of strategic economic importance. Perhaps it is not quite right either to say all are military facilities (the Pentagon clearly is) but all are crucial to large scale military activity.

Let us go back to the bombing of the USS Cole. Almost all people referred to it as a terrorist attack. I can not recall what issue or what author, but in National Review it was argued to call the bombing of the USS Cole a terrorist attack is self-defeating. The USS Cole was not a civilian ship it was a military vessel therefore it falls outside of terrorism and falls under acts of war. To call it terrorism was underestimating a group that long before declared open war on America.

The 9/11 attacks were not acts of terrorism but acts of war.
