The TIC Speaks.

The Teacher's Industrial Complex (TIC) just started running advertisements against the Taxpayer Bill of Rights. They trot out the usual scare tactics.

Its about priorities. For some reason, I think most governmental units that have fire departments will find a way to keep them. Funny, how every anti-TABOR/anti-TPA advertisement tries to make you believe police and fire departments will get gutted by such acts. That is incredibly hard to believe. Fire and police protection are governmental functions that are commonly accepted by all in our communities.

TABOR/TPA does not dictate cuts in spending, it just limits how fast it can grow. This means when towns, cities, counties, the state look at a new spending program they must weigh the new spending against old spending. Is that too much to ask?

At least the TIC unlike the Greater Wisconsin Committee does not try to pretend they are for less spending and taxation.
