A Community Not A City.
Tonight, Claudia and I ventured out of the house. 7:00pm in Pierce Park Tuesdays in Appleton there is a winds concert. They are a good band and play a wide variety of music. Last week they played a modern piece of music and I disliked the PC baggage but the song was good.
It is something. There is a bus or two from various old folks homes that show up. There are young families with small children about, there are children on the playground equipment and there is fine music. The weather was very nice (last week was a bit chilly) and perfect for the concert.
The sunset was nice too, enough clouds to add color not enough to refuse the sun. Even though we did not run into anyone we knew, we know we live in a community and not a city.
