Doctors, Guns, and Money.

Last night on Fox News they highlighted a Congressional Hearing on some cases working their way through the courts. Apparently some doctors are being accused of fraudulently diagnosing patients with silicosis. What possible motive do they have? Mix lawyers into the mix and what happens? Silicosis lawsuits.

Some congressman wondered why congress was holding hearings on the matter when the states were dealing with the matter. To be sure, there is no compelling reason for the feds to get involved with this situation yet, but that wasn't the good congressman's motives. He whined about how it was going to be transformed into a lawyer bashing case.

Well, duh! For some reason I think it was lawyers and not doctors behind it all. Some lawyers paid off some doctors for convenient diagnoses and the lawyers filed suit on behalf of the "victim".
