No, they are not. However, we do not try to excuse or cover up their actions. I do not hear the likes of Michelle Malkin or Charles Johnson trying to defend Mr. Rudolph. We wash our hands of this guy and condemn what he does.
OTOH, Ward Churchill's suggestion that conscientious objectors go to Iraq and frag their officers or comrades is not just idle speculation. When the left and their representatives disown those who carry signs saying "We support the troops when they...<INSERT VIOLENT INCITEMENT AGAINST THEIR OFFICERS/FELLOW SOLDIERS> or those who urge violence against our fellow citizens then come back here with that.
If the left wants to start getting their voters back, they had better relearn genuine patriotism and give up the faux-patriotism they profess. When I used to tend bar a couple of the regulars sounded very Democratic when it came to jobs, protectionism, and matters economic, but they were tough when it came to foreign policy. They complained to no end when HW stopped our troops short of going into Bagdhad and politicians supported by those suggesting the soldiers murder their officers would not be listened to or worse.
